This local case study is from our site, Digital Cornerstone. We think it's a good idea to practice what you preach so below is a snapshot of just one way we're growing the business's online presence.
When we the optimisation process in September 2024 (yes, we've been around since 2019 but didn't bother focusing on local SEO until recently), by optimising the service pages using data from custom data analytics software.

Service page optimization
SEO is a competitive industry and grabbing the top spots to maximise visibility wasn't going to happen overnight, so there's an element of patience and trusting the process that we preach so often.
It starts by making sure that the service page categories are accurate and have all of the right information in them.
This guidance came from our data software which not only analyses the competition but also conducts entity analysis of the search terms we're targeting.
Google business profile optimization
With nearly every business that focuses on finding clients in their area, optimizing the Google Business Profile is key to everything because the vast majority of custom will come from it.
The number 1 thing we focused on was to optimize the primary and secondary categories using carefully chosen keywords and entities and make sure Google was being fed clear and concise information to process.
Next, we ensured Google Maps was going from red to green. And whilst we cannot divulge too much information here on how we did this, we can say that the results speak for themselves.
Link building
Although the bulk of the enquiries and business when focusing on your local area will come from the GBP, it's important to make sure that the service pages are also ranking at the top of the SERPs so that the client has maximum coverage for all of it's main search terms.
The page we're using for our site is new and as a link building specialist, it's important that we build the types of links that Google rewards. This is an ongoing process, but coupled with good on-page, the site now starting to bring in clicks and customers.
The results
As mentioned above, the majority of our work was focused on the Business Profile, and the results speak for themselves.
This is after 2 months of optimization.
Yes, there's still a bit to do, but the underlying process we use works consistently.
